This tree seems a bit worn by time. But I shouldn’t talk. So do I.
Tony Giardino: “Hey listen… how long is it gonna take us to get there?”
Pilot: “It shouldn’t take very long.”
*pause*
Pilot: “Actually I have no concept of time.”
Tony Giardino: “Geez, is this dangerous?”
Pilot: “No. Well, you know there’s chance in everything.”
Tony Giardino: “Look I don’t wanna get too personal or anything, but you’ve done this before, right?”
Pilot: “Oh yeah, yeah. I do this all the time.”
*pause*
Pilot: “I’ve never done it at night.”

About this image: digital photograph, re-photographed through wet glass and heavily modified
That’s really beautiful, SIG.
I appreciate that, S.E. – Thank you! 🙂
What a haunting shot!! I noticed you say “re-photographed through wet glass “, WOW!! HOW COOL!!!
Thank you very much, Juana!
I like to do that sometimes… it’s a lot of fun! 🙂
I have a feeling that when you pan down the tree it will be in the middle of some pet cemetery, excellent!
Astra Wally
Thank you, sir!
Glad it has an interesting effect… I’m never really sure about these things…
🙂
Forgive me the reference to the hit TV show from the early 80s, but SIG “That’s incredible!” Shooting a picture through wet glass…. very, very cool. One of my favorites.
Thank you so much, Ms. D!
The hardest part of the whole thing was trying to keep my reflection out of there… and my television’s… I think Night Court was on at the time…
🙂
Very cool shot!
Thanks very much, Eden! 🙂
i can feel the rain and chill in the air!
Thanks, J.G… I was hoping this wasn’t too silly…
🙂
It was a dark and stormy night…first line of Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time
That seems very appropriate…
thank you so much for stopping by! 🙂
LOVE the drizzle on the lens. Very cool effect, Inky!
Thank you very much, Dishy…
I’m always looking for an excuse to try this sort of thing out… it seemed fairly appropriate for this image…
🙂
I really like this. It’s got a ‘Wuthering Heights’ feel to it.
Thank you, Mayfielder – that is very kind of you! 🙂
I love this shot man, would never have though of using a technique like shooting a photograph through wet glass. The blueish – green tones are great too, very nice!
Thank you, sir! You can create similar effects digitally… but this way each ‘droplet’ actually reflects and distorts a bit of the image… and it’s a whole lot of fun to do, too! 🙂
Very nice! very moody! Perfect!
Thank you very much, sir – I appreciate that! 🙂
Hauntingly pretty!
It’s… something… I guess.
Thank you, Annabelle! 🙂

Thank you, sir.
🙂
The tree looks like it is in outer space somewhere being blown about by the cosmic winds of time
Unfortunately the alien scampered down the trunk before I was able to gather further evidence…
🙂
Interesting… if that tree could talk!
I thought I heard it ask me what I was staring at…
🙂
Agree with Tony – outerspace-ish or otherworldly.
Seem like it is taken from an old B-grade sci-fi movie.
Well done!
Thank you very much, sir –
I always wonder about stuff like this… I tend to get a bit carried away…
🙂
I love this and it’s the perfect quote to go with! Makes me want to actively pursue my photography a little more.
That is very kind of you to say! Thank you, Martha! And thank you for stopping by as well! 🙂
Are you sure you didn’t just screenshot any scene from Eraserhead here?
That depends U.M…
would you be more upset if I told you I had done that, or if I told you I’ve never seen Eraserhead?! 🙂
Very neat mood shot. Looks as if it would have a spooky story to tell.
Thanks, Binky!
Only the tree knows what the tree knows (if it refuses to share with us)! 🙂
Stephen King would be proud!!!!
Hahaha – just as long as he didn’t think I was weird…
🙂
LOVE it!!!!
Thank you, R.N.P. –
that is very kind of you! 🙂
Very clever and creative, you’ve certainly done a good job with it. I’ve never thought about photographing something in this way. Interesting
Thanks so much, Nigel… I appreciate that!
Just trying to prevent my camera from getting wet! 🙂
Interesting effect – reeks of old movies – The Hound of The Baskervilles comes to mind along with Frankenstein 🙂
Thank you very much sir – that’s very nice to hear! 🙂
Spooky cool. I love it!
Thanks, Y.A.W. – that is very nice to hear!
🙂
not something you want to see out of your window at night. 🙂 nice work!
Hahaha… yeah, not the best yard decor!
Thanks so much, C.O.R.!
