Minnesota Bridge

So, this is a bridge… somewhere… in Minnesota. I think.  I’m having a difficult time remembering for sure… it’s been a while since the seventies (at least two years before my time, anyway).  Yeah… I’m still B.S.ing the dates, too.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Stephanie Mangano: “Nice move. Did you make that up?”

Tony Manero: “Yeah, well, I saw it on TV first, then I made it up. ”

    • Thanks for swinging by SLTW today ~ I had hoped for a real discussion about what’s broken and what we might do to fix it.

As you may have noticed, except for your comments, the reaction was extreme and utter apathy.

Your “disagreeing” with me was the best part of the day. 😎

      So come back anytime. 😉

[Feel free to delete this comment . . . I don’t want to clutter up your thread with my “trivia.”]

      • It was my pleasure (I’m just relieved you aren’t too upset with me for running my mouth)!
Some of the most interesting conversations I’ve ever had were with people who I didn’t necessarily ‘agree’ with, but who were real, and honestly passionate about what they believe in… people who want the best for others, even if we ‘disagree’ about specific strategies to achieve that goal.
I appreciate that very much – as I do all your comments… I’m thrilled to have them here, thank you very, very much!

      • Awesome!

Sharing opinions is a delight for me ~ I just wish a few more people had jumped in with both feet (or even their little toe) to join the discussion.

Oh, well . . . may have been too heavy a discussion for a Friday.

        TGIF, and all! 😆

  1. There’s a weird feeling when you recognise something you think you know but can’t really put a handle on it – this photo and your comment give me that feeling:-) Great post.

    • I grew up only about an hour or so outside Minnesota (and many of my relatives live there), so we used to visit quite often. It’s a very scenic state, I think you would like it!
      Thank you very much, Y.A.W.!

  2. Great shot. Captures a classic tone.

Dentist:”Reminds me of The Bridge on the River Kwai.”
    Photographer: “Kwai ?”
    Dentist: “Because the bridge work.”

  3. How is it that I don’t remember this at all. Obviously I was there… I was driving the car… yet the moment is not in my memory. Hmm. I think I need a nap. But even though I don’t remember it I like it! It makes me think of one of my favorite things in the world ROAD TRIPS!!! WOOHOO!

  4. Nicely done. When I saw this photo I immediately started thinking of all the bridges in our lives; physical bridges that get us from one side of a chasm to another, philosophical bridges that . . . well, do the same, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, etc. Hmmm. I feel a blog coming on! Thanks for the inspiration.

    • You are always so kind, B.D. – thank you!
I ‘likes’ to look at ‘the’ bridges, but I’m not big on driving over them, either. Or flying. Or Neil Diamond. I’m all about fish sticks, though (high class… that’s just how I roll.)
