If this image seems odd, you’ve probably never been in my kitchen. Honestly, if it doesn’t fall out of a can and into a microwave there is bound to be a small to medium sized inferno.
Anyway, I’ll be sure to ‘cook up’ something calmer for the big Monday show. Until then, have a wonderful holiday weekend everyone!
About this image: charcoal drawing(s) on Bristol Board digitally colorized and highly modified to represent a TTV photograph.
Yep, that’s a very odd image and that means I like it. 🙂
Thanks, S.E… this is an older one…
just one of those things I had to get out of my system I think!
🙂
Me too!!!
I am very happy to hear that, N.M…
thank you!
🙂
So do I!!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Deb xx
Thank you so much, Ms. A!
A very happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well!
🙂
Happy thanksgiving. It’s really unique image that I have never seen. I can go to your kitchen.
Thank you very much, sir…
it’s kind of a strange one… but that was part of the fun, I guess!
🙂
I absolutely adore how that looks. And it makes me hungry. And wish I celebrated Thanksgiving. Or maybe was eating breakfast.
You are so kind, Megan, thank you!
Interestingly enough, there was a smoke alarm incident during French Toast production today… seriously!
What are the chances, right?!
Very unique. Happy Thanksgiving!
Hahaha… the kind of ‘unique’ that requires ‘unique quotes’…
just keeping everyone on their toes, you know!
Thank you! A very happy Thanksgiving to you as well!
🙂
Happy Thanksgiving! It looks like a maid with a chicken on her chest! Excellent drawing! 😀
This one was a little unusual, so I am very happy to hear that you liked it!
I hope that you had a very happy thanksgiving as well, thank you so much!
🙂
Is that a gas mask and a turkey? Appropriate pairing, if you think about it.
Nice work, as always!
Yeah… it’s like… a Norman Rockwell on too much cold medication kind of moment.
Or… something like that.
Thank you so much!
🙂
I thought that was a gas mask, but then I thought no… Certainly an interesting pairing!
Happy Thanksgiving!
I thought it might be kind of interesting…
(not sure I was running on much sleep at the time, though – you know – full disclosure)!
Thank you very much, sir!
And to you!
🙂
I guess if the turkey gives anyone wind then at least your prepared for any bad farts
HA!
Better safe than sorry, right, Mr. M?!
🙂
Looks like you’re about to spray paint a plump chicken.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hahaha… old family recipe, you know.
Thank you so much! And to you as well!
🙂
Love it!!!!!
I’m so happy to hear that, R.N.P.! Thank you very much!
🙂
great work!
Thank you – I appreciate that very much!
🙂
You gassed the friggin turkey? Dear god 😯 Happy Thanksgiving to you and Annabelle.
Hahaha…
he had it coming.
Seriously, though, thank you very much, Loon!
🙂
Happy Thanksgiving ! The Maltese Turkey – stuffed with dreams.
Hahaha… dreams… and a hint of… sage?!
Thank you very much, sir! And a belated happy Thanksgiving to you!
🙂
Hey man I like the picture. just think of the sandwitches you can make out of all the leftovers.
Thanks, J.B.!
Aw, man, turkey sandwiches are the best!
🙂
Digitally colourised harcoal drawing. You caught me again Robert. I though it was a photo.
Mmmmm… Turkey…
That is so nice of you to say, Mr. M. thank you!
I feel like I never quite pull it off… but maybe someday…
maybe someday…
🙂
Mmmmm…. I luv Terky too
Hahaha!
I sure don’t blame you for that, Dixie! Sounds like you have excellent taste!
🙂
Well done! Love the fallout effect. Kind of reminds my of the webcomic Romantically Apocalyptic.
Thank you, sir!
I’ve never heard of that webcomic before…
sounds like I might have to check it out!
🙂
Happy Thanksgiving!!! Lol that picture somehow reminds me of a Doctor Who episode. How on earth did you get your hands on a gas mask??
And a happy Thanksgiving to you as well, thank you!
Hahaha… I wonder how many turkeys would fit in the tardis?!
Well, I didn’t really have a mask… in order to make the drawing I first made a reference image which was a composite of three images I Photoshopped together.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
🙂
lol Cool stuff spilledinkguy
Thank you so much, Ms. E!
I appreciate that very much!
🙂
I’m a little worried about your cooking skills, SIG! 🙂
Really cool drawing! Thanks for sharing.
Hahaha…
as you well should be! Anthony Bourdain I am not!
Why, thank you!
🙂
Great picture… but why she is in gas mask? 🙂 That tukey doesn’t look like burnt.
Have a wonderful weekend 🙂
Hahaha…
maybe this is the ‘stunt’ turkey, Ms. B
(the real mess must be hidden away in the kitchen)!
🙂
You’re your own worst critic, my friend! Cannot believe he who conquered mashed potatoes would have to don a gas mask for turkey day dinner. Bah! Hope it was happy!
Hahaha… I have to admit they tasted surprisingly good, Dishy (but I have your recipe to thank for that)! My technique could use a little work, though (especially judging between small/large potatoes, proper ‘digging out’ and ‘whipping’ procedures)! I think I learned from those mistakes, though – well, that’s what I’m hoping, anyway!
🙂
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving Bob – sorry I’m a couple of days late… 🙂
Not at all, Martin!
Thank you so much, sir – I certainly can’t complain – we had a very nice holiday!
🙂
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving too 🙂 No more turkeys for me…for a while 😀
Why thank you, Mary!
Hahaha… I was just thinking about some more turkey…
of course I am quite the turkey, too!
🙂
Your artistry is amazing.. 🙂
As is your kindness, sir – I thank you!
🙂
Great Artwork again my friend very impressive 🙂
You are always so kind, sir!
I thank you!
🙂
hope your thanksgiving was great – and that you ended up being able to leave your gas mask on standby 🙂
seriously great artwork. thanks again for sharing
I certainly can’t complain!
I hope that you and your family had a wonderful holiday as well – thank you!
And thank you very much for your generous comment as well – I appreciate that very, very much!
🙂
SIG, this is a charcoal drawing? I mean, this picture started out as a charcoal drawing? Then you modified the color and composition … right? The drawing is fantastic! I love the apron fluff. And the turkey looks awesome. Though the gas mask makes me want to pass up an offer to try the turkey.
Yup! The woman and the turkey are one drawing, the wall paper is made of two rubbings from a piece of screen (with the dots added later). I drew them separately so I could blur the foreground more than the background (as if she was too close to the camera to be in focus).
Thank you so much, Ms. D. (the apron is my favorite part, too – especially since I usually have such a difficult time replicating cloth)!
🙂
Did you ever see the episode of “Tosh.0” where the guy offered to eat something like six canned chickens? Like, whole cooked chickens that just slid out of the can and into the microwave. (Except he didn’t do the microwave part.) It’s not turkey, but it’s close.
So this is the embarrassing part where I admit to never having seen ‘Tosh.O”…
I did see Cool Hand Luke, though… which involves like 50 eggs…
and… is… pretty irrelevant…
d-oh!
🙂
love this drawing! so cool.
*whew*
I’m a bit relieved to hear that, U.M. (thank you)!
Sometimes I worry some of my stuff is a bit over the top…
(so I usually try to space the wildest posts out a bit)
🙂
Did you find a turkey you could stick in the microwave? I hope it was as delicious as this drawing.
Denied that micro-gobbler yet again, Nancy!
(The Boston Market was pretty darn good, though)!
😉
Mmm… fall-out turkey! My fav! ;P
With the half-life on this thing,
it’ll NEVER expire!
🙂
