Yup. Classic vice. Have a great weekend everyone!
Sonny Crockett: “Where do you like to go?”
Isabella: “What do you like to drink?”
Sonny Crockett: “I’m a fiend for mojitos.”
Isabella: “I know a place. I’ll take you to the best place for mojitos.”
Sonny Crockett: “Where is that?”
Isabella: “Bodeguita del Medio.”
Sonny Crockett: “In the Keys?”
Isabella: “Havana.”

Very clever, SIG! A close up of a mechanical vice looking like a bottle!
Thank you very much, S.E…
I’ve always found mechanical ‘stuff’ very interesting
(even though I don’t really know the first thing about it)!
π
Great play on words! Love the photo.
Why thank you, Dishy!
π
Glad everyone except me got this! I was like, “Is that a spigot for home-brewed moonshine, or . . .”
Slow.
Sssshhhh!
When referring to the still our secret code is, ‘the falcon brews at midnight’!
hahahahahaa…. you crack me up!!!
Hahaha…
don’t laugh too loud, Juana…
the g-men might find our hide-out!
π
If you put your beer in a vice do you suffer from multiple vices?
Ha!
I guess it depends if the vice is gonna keep it or if it’s just holding it while I go get snacks.
π
Well played π Love the symmetry in the shot.
Hahaha… I couldn’t help myself with that one!
Thank you, J.P.!
π
Great double, no, triple, entendre. Great photo, too!
Why thank you!
It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to live with an alligator on their boat.
π
Great photo! It belongs framed and hanging in a workshop. I think This Old House or New Yankee Workshop could use a copy. Norm would love it.
NAAAAAHM!
That’s my New Englandy accent. Pretty impressive, huh?
(I might not be able to build a fabulous cedar hutch, but I excel at adding ‘ah’ to the end of words like chowd’ah’.
π
Getting your weekend off to an early start, eh? π
Well, you know… since I only post on Monday and Thursday now… it’s… you see… alright! Okay! Busted!
π
I really really like your vice
It is really is so very nice
Can I have a vice with ice
Can I have a vice with rice
Can I have a slice of vice
A slice of vice with rice & ice would be so very very nice
Oh sorry… I think I was channelling Dr. Seuss
Ha!
Vice with rice and ice are much more nice than a plague of lice!
Why, thank you, good Dr.!
π
The only vice I have is milk and cookies. Hmm… maybe I have vices.
Ha!
Careful, S.C…
those are ‘gateway foods’ to ‘harder’ snacks, you know!
π
Hey, that’s my vice. Screw you. Blahahahaha get it screw…you…ah never mind. Enjoy the weekend π
Hahaha…
Hey, same to you, pal! π
I hope you have a great weekend, too, Loon!
π
LOL gotta love the wordplay xD This is brilliant. And simple
Why thank you!
That is wonderful to hear!
Sometimes I think simple images can have an elegance about them
(and it would be great if mine would too)! *buh dun dun*
π
watchout you might get caught in a tight spot.
Ha!
I thought I was feeling a bit of a crunch!
π
Do not use a vice as a bottle opener. It gets very very messy.
Hahaha…
It’s not the easiest thing to carry around in your pocket, either!
π
Words of Advice; “Screw your courage to the sticking place, and you’ll not fail.”, but if you stick your thumb in a vice, you could lose a nail.
Hahaha…
I think it’s turning purple!
π
Interesting item to photograph π
And it actually held still the whole time, too!
π
Have a nice weekend to you! π
Why, thank you!
And to you as well!
π
Like Syncy you have a talent for making the mundane appear beautiful
Thank you so much for your kindness, N.M…
it’s really just a case of working with what I’ve got available (and hoping it all hangs together)!
π
Why, thank you, Nursie.
You are both always so very kind!
π
It sort of looks like the front of an old train..
Have a great weekend!
Deb xx
It kind of does, doesn’t it?!
(I hadn’t noticed that until you mentioned it)!
Thank you very much, Ms. A! I hope you had a great weekend as well!
π
Another great creation my friend i love your work π
You are always far too kind, sir!
Thank you very, very much!
π
man, inky… you TOTALLY got me on that one!! Nice!
I’m so happy to hear that, Mr. B!
I thank you, sir!
π
I was kinda stumped like Mundane…lol π Have a great weekend!
No worries, Mary – just introducing everyone to ‘my world’
(I’m pretty much always stumped, you know)!
π
No matter how hard I try, I just can’t stand mojitos.
This reminds me of the front of a train…a Thomas the Tank Engine train. Not the poplular blue guy, but the black one named Douglas. My boys have since outgrown them. They’re packed up in the basement. Thanks for the memory. π
Hahaha… to tell you the truth I’ve only had one or two. Honestly I could take them or leave them (I’d almost always rather have a beer)!
Hey – I know Douglas (I used to watch Shining Time station all the time when I was younger)! I LOVED that show! I used to build the characters out of my Legos (that was long before they made the actual toys)!
π
the weekend is almost over, and i am still “squeezing” (as in what a vice does when it’s doing its job) in to say thanks for the smile. hope you have a great week!
Hahaha…
why, thank you for ‘hanging on’ and saying hello!
I appreciate that very much, P&K – thank you! And the same to you, of course!
π
I don’t know how you do it… or where you get your ideas.. But I love them. And I love how people bring out the best responses to your post. You have a great deal o funny comments, and that is what’s so special about visiting you. Great photos, great comments- It’s a vice for anyone!!!
You are so kind, Juana… thank you!
When it comes to the photographs (especially) it’s usually just about using what’s available at the time and keeping my fingers crossed one or two will turn out!
The comments are really the icing on the cake… everyone is always so clever… it’s so much fun!
π
That’s a clasic shot and it’s not a Record π Great stuff!
Why thank you, sir!
Happy to hear it was worth dusting off my stacks of wax (or old negatives, anyway)!
π
I have one word for you… you know what it is. It starts with a B. I won’t say it… you know… π
I still don’t see it.
Sometimes a vice is just a vice, Georgia.
π
Lol… and sometimes it is ___________! ;P
Madlibs! Schweeeeet!
