And you can send me this one too…:-)
I love it, Sig! This one is just as lovely as the white one and both will look great in my house. I just teasing ya, but if you want to rid of them I better hear about it first.
Hugs, xx
Hahaha… thank you so much, Deb!
This one definitely didn’t last as long as the previous one… (the paint started cracking only a few hours after it had dried). It was definitely an interesting experiment!
🙂
It’s we have a Good Pepper / Bad Pepper situation here. The good pepper sits on your shoulder and tells you to do the right thing. The bad pepper is on your other shoulder and tells you things to get you in trouble. I like the bad pepper. 🙂
Gloss on gloss is tough without primer in the middle…or sanding. I can see where sanding would have been out. This one has a very warm feel to it. I like it.
Red.
You said it, Red!
It was actually kind of interesting looking in it’s own bubbled/cracked/peeled right. If I wouldn’t have been so bummed out right away I probably would have photographed that one, too!
🙂
Maybe let it sit for a day or so and look at it again…kind of Frankenstein meets pepper sort of thing. Let science take over…may be interesting, maybe not appetizing, but interesting!
Red.
I am SO glad you posted the painted veggies! This pepper looks amazing SIG. Another example of your genius. And how do you come up with these creative, unique and fantastic ideas for your subjects? When I grow up I want to know an aperture from an apple…. or pepper.
Great lighting on this, just everything is fab.
Thank you so much, Ms. B! You are always incredibly kind!
Yeah… I figured after I went ahead and wasted all that food I should at least post the results. I felt a bit like the kid making the mashed potato castle and the gravy moat (only those things still taste pretty good).
The ideas question is a tough one! Anywhere and everywhere, I guess. I’m sorry – horrible answer, I know, but it’s really the truth. I keep notebooks. Anyway, this one stemmed from an idea I’ve had for some time about removing all the local color from an objects… not sure when I settled on food. Guess it’s just relatively available and somewhat inexpensive. And it’s generally willing to pose.
🙂
Many thanks, sir!
Hahaha… it’s funny – I don’t get that question as often as other people seem to. I suspect folks are a bit scared of how a dude who spray-paints random food stuffs might respond to that!
🙂
Hahaha…
I can sometimes PAINT food. Producing something EDIBLE (that looks good, tastes good and is good for you)… well… that’s a feat left up to pro’s like you, Dishy!
🙂
I think I may have cried a little when I opened up my RSS reader today and saw this. It’s SO BEAUTIFUL. I wish I knew of a good place to post this and the white pepper to get you any kind of exposure, but I have no clout.
Aw, shucks, U.M…
thank you so much! That’s the nicest thing I think I’ve heard all day!
Well, I know it is.
The peppers sure aren’t saying many positive things anymore.
🙂
Very stylish!!! Thanks for sharing Nonoy Manga
And I thank you, too!
I sincerely appreciate that!
🙂
Weird — the black pepper in my spice rack looks completely different.
Hahaha…
hmmm… one of them must be… an imposter!
*dun dun dun*
🙂
I agree with nonoymanga – very stylish, Robert. Tsk, naughty paints.
Thank you very much, S.E.!
Hahaha… ‘Hey, paints… don’t make me turn this can around…’
🙂
Exquisite
N.M.! Awesome! I was getting a bit worried!
🙂
Good help is sometimes hard to find. You can’t always depaint on it. 🙂
Even so this is a cool click. Thanks for sharing.
Hahaha…
SO true, P&K! Paint! I shake my speckled fist at you!
Thanks you so much!
🙂
And you can send me this one too…:-)

Can we expect a “Pepper In Five Mile Orange” post to finish the set?? 🙂
Hahaha…
That sounds like an idea! I should probably take a bit of a break first…
I think the fumes are starting to get to me!
😉
It’s we have a Good Pepper / Bad Pepper situation here. The good pepper sits on your shoulder and tells you to do the right thing. The bad pepper is on your other shoulder and tells you things to get you in trouble. I like the bad pepper. 🙂
Hahaha…
I can see that!
I just hope the bad pepper doesn’t promote eating the good one! Not as tasty as you might expect!
😉
Sheez Spilled Ink, I would have that as my hood mascot. Would be the coolest car ever.
Hahaha…
thanks, Loon!
I wonder how difficult it is to scrub squished fly bits off a spray-painted pepper?!
🙂
No more difficult than scrubbing squished fly bits off my teeth when I ride my push bike 🙂
Hahaha…
I’d only be able to accomplish a feat like that on a strictly down-hill course!
🙂
Step away from the crisper drawer . . . and no one will get hurt! 😆
This is gorgeous, SIG!
Hahaha…
fortunately the crisper is getting a bit low…
the fruits and veggies might be safe…
for now!
Thank you so much, Nancy!
🙂

Was there more ventilation during this “pepper spray” production? Pepper spray. Ha. I crack myself up.
SIG, I really, really like this one. Sharp.
You crack me up too, Lenore!
Hey!
What’s all the fuss back here?!
😉
Hahaha…
um…
yeeees…
of…
course…
Thanks so much, Ms. D! I’ve very happy to hear you weren’t ‘blinded’ by the silly thing!
🙂
I don’t like red pepper, I don’t like yellow pepper, but I do like black pepper.
I was afraid it might make everyone sneeze.
🙂
This black pepper makes me smile instead of sneeze.
Thanks, Peg!
I just commented to Bearman about sneezing… I must have been channeling you, Peg!
*swami music playing*
🙂
His comment is what inspired me, too. Great minds…
Indeed!
You said it, Peg!
🙂

Very interesting concept. Where do you get your ideas??
Just kidding. I hate it when people ask that.
Many thanks, sir!
Hahaha… it’s funny – I don’t get that question as often as other people seem to. I suspect folks are a bit scared of how a dude who spray-paints random food stuffs might respond to that!
🙂
You have a way with peppers, Sig! I imagine the veggies in your crisper are all nervous about ‘who’s next’… 😉
Why thank you, M.P.!
Hahaha…
you guys clean-up this crisper right now! Or else!
😉
This looks like a Gourmet Meal for Robocop 🙂
And so excellently portrayed as per usual my
great friend 🙂 I think that peppers are in 🙂
Androgoth
HA!
Absolutely hilarious, A.G.! I think that might be the laugh of the day over here!
Thanks so much, sir!
I hope you have a wonderful evening!
🙂
I can’t wait for your next pepper time,
maybe one in a deep red next, well the
bloodier the better for me SIG 🙂 lol
Have a superb Tuesday my great friend 🙂
Androgoth
Hahaha…
A pepper for all occasions!
Could be a fun gig!
Thank you so much, A.G.!
I hope you had a wonderful Tuesday as well, sir!
🙂
You are too modest! You say you can’t make toast and yet.. we can all see you’re a genius when it comes to food!
🙂
Hahaha…
I can sometimes PAINT food. Producing something EDIBLE (that looks good, tastes good and is good for you)… well… that’s a feat left up to pro’s like you, Dishy!
🙂
It makes a great pair with the with one. Zing Zang peepers!
Hahaha… why, thank you!
Pepper Pals, indeed!
🙂
And you’re sure it’s safe to eat?
*om nom nom*
A few moments, please… testing… testing…
🙂
This is the classiest pepper I’ve ever seen!
Love the duco on this one SiG!!! One dark, brooding pepper under that gloss!
Thank you very much, Ms. K!
It was a dark and stormy
nightpepper…🙂
love the goth pepper lol if it was an ornament id stick a skelly face on and keep it on my shelf nice work xjen
Why thank you, J.G.!
Customized peppers… could be fun!
🙂
It looks like an eggplant pepper.
It looks like an eggplant pepper. (i thought i would say it as Japanese Ghost also)
Nice enough to be appreciated twice, Japanese Ghost!
I thank you!
🙂
More-so than I am, anyway!
Thank you so much!
That is very kind of you!
🙂
Love love love the “texture” of this – really nice work!
anne
Thank you so very much, Anne!
I can’t take too much credit for that… just kind went crazy with the paint and let it do all the hard work for me!
🙂
Lends a very 3D appearnce to the image. It looks a bit like a member of the Antz cast! Nice ongoing experiment Bob 🙂
Hahaha… and no special glasses required, either, how about that?!
Thank you so very much, Martin!
That is very kind of you, as always, sir!
🙂

I do prefer this black one to the white one… but, I really want to see a silver one!
Oh no!
I suspect I’m running out of peppers!
Thank you so much, Nigel!
🙂
can you still eat that thing? i don’t know how you come up with all these cool ideas SIG.
Hahaha…
it tastes a bit more plasticy than I’d hoped…
you are so kind, U.M, thank you!
🙂
Man it gives me heartburn just looking at it. I mean like them they just don’t like me. lol
Hahaha… I hear that, my friend!
I’ve got the very same problem!
Guys like us are keeping the antacid industry in business!
🙂
Looks like you spilled some ink on it! See what I did there? Do you see??? Huh? Hey! Yeah!
I like this even better than the white. Nicely done!
Thanks so much Mr. H!
I’m still a bit bummed out I had to use two peppers, but… what can you do, right?!
🙂
From White to Black. It’s so shiny it looks lie some kinda dark coloured chrome, if there is such a thing. Cool artistry Robert
Thanks much, Mr. M!
Dark chrome… I like the sound of that! Sounds like a really sleek look you’d see on a motorcycle…
🙂
Excellent ! 🙂
Thank you very much, sir!
🙂
Whether it is in black or in white, the apple is perfect! 😀 I love it!
Thank you so much, Cristina!
I thought it might be fun to see a similar thing in several new ways!
🙂
