I’m not sure what’s up with all the color I’ve been using lately. Too much sun, maybe. Have a great weekend, everyone!
Buster Bluth (climbs out of car trunk): “Mexico.”
Narrator: “In fact, Buster was in Santa Ana, a town six minutes inland from his own, but the combination of losing his glasses and breathing carbon monoxide had impaired Buster’s judgement.”
Buster Bluth (seeking shelter under a trampoline): “Eeehhh… this shall keep me safe from the hot Mexican sun. ”

Sun can really mess with your brain. I’ll be spending the summer in Spain, i.e. on the beach, so I’ll probably end up with colourful pictures as well, eek 😉
Hahaha… indeed! MUST… FIND… SHADE!
Spain sounds amazing, though! I hope you’ll be taking some photos there as well! I can’t wait to check those out! But then, I can’t wait to check out whatever it is you’ve been working on, Ms. F!
Sun suits you Sir!
Buster would be so happy to be anywhere near your brilliant Chica del Sol and, I have to say, I would be happy for him!
Thank you very much Ms. K!
Hahaha… I can imagine that / those conversation(s)… too much fun! I never would have put that together, though! Thank you for doing so – I’ll be getting a laugh out of that all day now!
Many thanks, Astra! I appreciate that very much, sir!
Wear your sunscreen.
I nearly used a few lines from that 90’s (?) song about Sunscreen… that recited word one that was supposed to be a song but wasn’t really a song…
I loved that song (I have a soppy side). Great colours – keep ’em coming.
I’m so embarrassed right now, N.M… I didn’t even realize this was the title to a song… I’d better go look that up! I guess in the future it would probably be wise for me to do so FIRST, but as you can tell, the research department is quite a bit lazier here than the staff at the Gimcrack…
Hey, they’re making a 4th season of Arrested Development! True story. It’s going to be released directly to Netflix Watch Instantly.
Man… I’ve been hearing so many Arrested Development stories… movie rumors, etc… it seem like something has to be happening after all this. Well, I hope it does, anyway.
It’s like a rainbow. Wonderful job. Have a great weekend 😀
Thank you very much, sir!
I knew I wanted it to be a gradient of color, but I wasn’t sure which colors those would be at first.
I think I like these, though.
These are my favorite colors, so this creation gets two thumbs up from me! Keep enjoying the sun, but use sunscreen!
Very happy to hear that, Ms. D!
This is another one that ended up with a completely different ‘feel’ than I originally had in mind, but I think I’m cool with that.
For now, anyway.
SPF-Thank you, Ms. D!
You’re so fortunate, to have a beautiful built-in model! Good thing too or this could be a cat instead of your lovely wife! lol
Hahaha… you said it, Dishy! The ironic thing is that she has such fair skin… if she sees a sunrise on TV she’ll burn from the couch! Lots of SPF for this Chica del Sol (but that’s really for the best, anyway, I guess)!
Lol! This is so true. I have a very complex relationship with the sun. Today, I was outside for all of 3 minutes and I was dashing from one shady spot to the next because it was so hot and bright! My friend who was with me at the time did not withhold her judgement or her comments about me being a closeted vampire.
*That was supposed to be the True Blood theme…*
Buster was such an underrated character! He never got any respect.
Great work as usual SIG. Have a nice weekend.
Hahaha… agreed, Ms. C!
Gob was my absolute favorite, just because he was so… so… Gob (and always seemed to be doing the last thing(s) I would try in a situation), but poor Buster was very underrated!\
Thanks so much!
It is different to see you use these yellows and oranges lately, but guess what…I like it!
Thanks for all the comments you left today…your awesome!
Have a great weekend, my friend, and my best to Annebelle…always.
I’m very happy to hear that, Deb, thank you! As you know my instinct is to try B/W or sepia first, but color seemed like too much fun to pass up here!
My pleasure! It’s always so much fun to check out all the wonderful projects you’ve been working on!
And thank you again, Deb! I will do that!
Your recent color journeys have a bit of a 60s vibe. Very groovy, baby.
Far out! I’m very happy to hear that, Peg!
I think you’ve slipped into a time warp and landed in summertime, 1974. 🙂
sometimes I feel like I’m in a perpetual time warp, S.E.!
Tis the season for warm colors. 🙂 Nicely done!
Indeed! I’d better go get some water – it’s best to stay hydrated at times like these!
Very nice as always, but it looks as if that sun beam is going to get her!
Duck and cover!
Duck and cover!
Whatever it is, it is working. The color is terrific. And you have a great subject 😉
When you get a chance, I would love your opinion at my place on Creatively Speaking…
Many thanks, Red! I certainly think so (the last bit, anyway)!
Absolutely… I’ll be over to check it out in a just a minute…
very good graphical design and choice of color!
better fixed in the long-time memory than any photography!
!Muchas gracias, senor!
Is that your wife? Because I was like, “Daaaaaaaaamn, I’d be so pissed if Kamran was going around drawing hott gurlz.” But then I realized that it actually looks like her.
Modeled after the wifeie, indeed! Of course, probably not as flattering as it should be, but… you know… it’s Illustrator. And a chimp running it.
colours are great thats why im not an artist black purple n red now what could i do with them except wear them lol xjen
Black is always classic, though, J.G.! In fact, originally I had in mind this one would be mostly dark… I’m not sure why I lightened it up so much at the end… I’ve been using a LOT more color than usual of late!
I like the brightness of colors…good graphic design!! 😀
Thank you, Mary!
Originally I had a different color scheme in mind, but lately I’ve been surprising myself with the bright / warm trend… kind of unusual for me!
Looks like you left her in the sun a tad too long, I bet she’s wearing faded jeans too!!!!
forgot to add 🙂
Oh, come-on, Loon… it’s not like I didn’t give her some water first.
Have a great weekend to u too! 😀 I need sunlight here these days, cause its been a week overcast here.
Thanks so much, Cristina!
I’ll be wishing you the sunniest of weekends, then!

Looks like a young Sheryl Crow 🙂
Funny… after you said that I did a quick ‘Google’ to refresh my memory (the things we have to do for research, right 😉 ) and the colors on this look incredibly similar to those on the C’mon C’mon cover art… wild!
Wow Grooooooooooooooovy posting this one SIG
I like it a lot and the colouring works exceptionally
well I think 🙂 🙂 Brilliant piece of art as usual SIG 🙂
Oh by the way you need to get
into my Space from this comment
and not any of the older one’s as
they don’t work anymore 😦
Have asuperb rest of weekend SIG 🙂
Thanks so much, Andro!
This is another one of those images that started off with a much different color palate in my mind… and then… well… revisions, I guess!
Thanks for the the tip, too!
I plan on stopping by tomorrow to see what you’ve been working on and I would have been pretty bummed out if I couldn’t get my links to work properly!!! Technology… amazing when it works… beyond frustrating when it doesn’t!
All andro53 comments are okay to use SIG
but clicking on any of the older comments is
where the trouble starts, well not for you my
wickedly fine great friend, but clicking on an
old comment will direct you to a page where
it shows a deleted Space 😦 Not good for me
to lose my ghoulishly excellent friends that
way so remember, it’s all the most recent of
comments that will grant you access 🙂
Have a fun day SIG 🙂
Thanks for the heads-up, A.G!
Tomorrow might have been a long day if you hadn’t told me that… I’m a bit ‘slow’ you know, so you can bet there would have been plenty of clicking and palms to the forehead when I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong!
Man, I can’t wait for the new AR episodes and movie to come out! It is going to be GLORIOUS!
I’m still all paranoid it won’t happen…
I’ve been waiting and hoping for more AR for so long now…
I get the feeling I could jinx the whole project somehow.
You JUST DID! Just kidding. Hopefully they won’t scrap it like they did with Dumb and Dumber 2. SIGH.
Nooooo! I take it back! I take it back! Quick I’ll throw some salt over… wait… which shoulder are you supposed to… (I guess I should have looked into that per-superstitious throw).
It seems like you Google a LOT of things… 😉
I figure that somebody’s gotta’ keep them in lunch money.
Just helping out where I can, you know.
That would make a nice Lady’s blog header.
Thanks much, Tony! I’ve been into these longer landscape formats lately… I think it’s because I’ve been thinking about skateboard designs / layouts lately…
This could work well for a restaurant. My wife says I am watching too many Food shows when I am not pouring through BBQ & Baking books. 😀
Hahaha… perhaps you could gently remind your wife there are guys out there (like me) who struggle to make toast… she’ll probably go to the library and get you more books herself! Oh… hang on… I think something in my kitchen is burning… AGAIN… yup… there goes the smoke detector…
