I know exactly what you mean, Andro!
One of the reasons I chose this blog theme was the fairly neutral colors, etc., but still… there is an awful lot of ‘stuff’ when you look at images in the standard page view. And that can be very distracting… especially in an instance like this (where the proportions of the image cause it to appear so small on the screen to begin with). Definitely a case where less background is more… and/or where the full 9″x33″ would make things show up a bit better!
