Very kool!
Many thanks, Ms. G!
π
I’m in the dark now I can see the light, very nice combo of a classic ride and ray!!! Cheers Nonoy Manga
Thank you very much, sir!
I was very fortunate (and happy) to stumble upon both of those things!
π
Ooh! Very cool! Very sexy! Vroom!
Hahaha… classic classic car sound effects! I love it!
Thank you very much, S.E!
π
Beautiful and a favorite motor of mine so was always gonna get my vote! Great composition SIG!
I was pretty excited to come across this, Astra…
in fact I turned around and came back for it!
Many thanks, as always, sir!
π
Now that’s what I call flare! Too bad they don’t make them like that anymore. Excellent work, Sig! And you and Annabelle have a real nice weekend. π
xo
So many details in these classics, aren’t there?
I could easily have spent several hours shooting them.
Thank you so very much, Deb!
And the very same to you, of course!
π
That just makes me want to hop in and drive down Route 66. Hopefully it’s a convertible. π
That’s the nice thing about the ol’ crop… it sure could have been, right?!
π
Cool flair! You do wonders with a smart phone, SIG. Were you attempting to get the sun or was it just happenstance? Love it. Classy work.
Thank you very much, B.F!
I guess it was probably a little of both! I just happened by this scene (so it’s not like I visited at a specific time of day to make sure the sun was in the right spot), but when I saw where the sun was I did my best to get a bit of a glow over the top of that tail-fin (which took a a few attempts and some grass stain remover)!
π
Well, wonderful job SIG. It was worth the stain π Gee, that sounds kind of funny.
Hahaha… now that you mention it…
π
I will not get any points for being unique with my comment, SIG. This is very cool! I like it very much. And, I admit, I focused on the chrome to see if I could catch a reflection of the photographer. No such luck. π
You are always very kind, Ms. D… and that’s what counts the most!
Hahaha… I checked for any rouge reflections, too… (I was fully prepared to fire-up my digital airbrush)!
π
tβs Always Sunny in Philadelphia…is that the Danny Devito show? See I do pay attention
Hahaha…
50 points, Bearman! Right-on!
π
Nice Caddy shot! π For some reason that car makes me think of Elvis…
Why, thank you, Mary…
thank you very much!
*in my best king-o-rock-n-roll*
π
It’s very interesting and nice work, sir. The sepia is very cool.
I thank you, sir!
It seems the additional warmth from sepia is often helpful.
π
Good shot! Don’t see many of those fins any more.
Thank you very much, Patti!
Absolutely! When I came across this classic I did a double-take to be sure I was actually seeing what I was seeing!
π
If I had a car or a driver’s license, I’d drive me a caddy.
You should have an endorsement deal! They would be fools not to sign you!
π
Tail fins are always neat. Especially when they’re on classic cars.
Hahaha… agreed, Binky.
Neat indeed… although they tend to make my butt look big.
π
Cool classic Cadilac capture! π
FYI: It is NOT always sunny in Philly.
Hahaha…
I had a hunch that might be the case. That’s L.A., right?!
π
Thank you so much, Nancy!
I was pretty happy about coming across this!
π
Hell yeah! Classic shot for a classic car.
I was pretty psyched about coming across this Caddy… (I did a double take, and then a full turn-around and go back for it)!
Many thanks, Mr. B!
π
Great low angle and use of the sun… Cruisin’ π
I was really I happened to be there when the sun was in that position… although there are certainly great details to highlight from any angle on a car like this!
π
Great style and flare with this one SiG! Can almost feel the “bounce” in this shot!
Thank you very much, Ms. K! I might be getting kinda old for this sort of thing, though… it took me longer to ‘bounce’ back up off the ground than it probably should have!
π
Have a wonderful weekend Mr. SIG. π
Thank you very much, Ms. B!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well!
π
Hope you get to spend some time riding around in that shark-finned beauty this weekend. Have fun!
Does sound like fun, Peg! Just between you and me this doesn’t belong to me… but maybe if I keep that on the D.L. I can lean up against it and pretend that’s not the case!
π
Now this is a classic in more ways than one
and an excellent entry here on your Space π
Have a wickedly enjoyable
rest of the weekend SIG π
Androgoth
Thank you very much, A.G!
I was very happy to stumble across this…
as I’m always very happy you’ve been so kind as to stop by and leave such kind comments as well!
I thank you again, sir!
π
You are very welcome, and your Space is a truly worthy environment in which to frequent, I always enjoy your work and never know what you will be adding next π
Have a wickedly enjoyable Monday SIG and keep adding to your excellent creativity, in my opinion you have one of the finest Spaces on WP so keep up with your most exquisite and inventive artistry π π
Be well now π
Androgoth
That is incredibly kind of you to say, A.G… thank you so very much!
I have to admit at times I wonder about that… I just hope people aren’t bored out of their minds at this point.
But I do try to keep things intesting-ish. At times, anyway.
Thank you again, Andro – I sincerely appreciate your great kindness and encouragement!
π
You are very welcome SIG I always say exactly what I mean my great friend π Enjoy your evening and keep up the very good work on your Space too π
Androgoth
I don’t know, Andro… I doubt you are capable of leaving a less than complimentary thought even if it’s well deserved.
Still, I sincerely appreciate your great kindness, as always, sir!
π
Hey have a great rest of evening and a superb Wednesday, mine is already here π π lol
Androgoth
Time flies, doesn’t it, A.G? I’ve started to get behind a bit without even realizing it! I’ve nearly finished a painting project I’ve been working on for a while now and gotten so drawn-in I’ve completely forgotten I needed to post something else in the mean-time! Yet again! Yikes! I need to work on my time-management skills, I guess!
π
Have you ever thought about adding some of your early works, that might not have been viewed by your present reader base, this will give you that welcomed breathing space and also offer a nice surprise for anyone that missed them π
I have done this myself and it works so it could be something to consider, which in turn will give you some excellent ‘Me’ time to work on new and currently under construction works π Have a brilliant day today SIG and be well π
Androgoth
That’s an idea worth serious consideration, Andro.
It’s funny… you would think the fact I only post two days a week would leave plenty of time to stay ahead of things. Unfortunately I am SO slow (and get so drawn in I completely loose track of time)… especially when it comes drawing / painting, etc. I do have a few photos ready to edit (and they shouldn’t all take TOO much work – I just need to tear myself away from one thing to work on another). And it probably also wouldn’t hurt to go out and shoot a few more things, too (although… again with the wanting to stick with what I’m working on… I need to work on my multi-tasking, I guess)!
Anyway… I’ll definitely have to ponder on that further, my friend…
*rubs chin*
hmm…
interesting…
interesting…
π
Love the angle of the shot and that ray of light. Very classy photo indeed. These cars always remind me of a certain 1947 black and white photo that I love of my parents when they were young. Gosh… come to think of it… they were way younger than than I am right now! Lord, I feel old hahahaha!!
Oh, thank you so much, Juana!
You are always incredibly kind!
And – if it makes you feel any better… I feel old, too! Is it time for my nap yet?!
π
Just calling in for another look
at this one SIG, and it’s brilliant π
Androgoth
Thanks much, Andro!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
π
Yes a very busy one actually,
but BUSY as in GOOD busy if
you know what I mean? π
Have a superb start to your week SIG π
Androgoth
Hahaha…
well… to tell you the truth I’m not sure I remember exactly what all happened, A.G.
I feel like I blinked and the whole weekend was gone already… in… some kind of blur!
I thank you, sir! I wish you the very same!
π
Thank you my great friend,
you see I am still around but not adding anything to my Space apart from replies, but this won’t be for too long, perhaps several weeks will be sufficient π Have a fun evening and a ghoulishly exciting Tuesday too π
Androgoth
Been there myself (as you know), Andro… and something tells me I’ll be there again, soon, too!
Which reminds me… I should probably figure out what to do for next-time! D-oh!
Thank you so much, A.G… I hope you are having an excellent week!
π
Yes it has been busy so far but it’s amazing, just not adding anything or thinking of adding anything to my Space has given me a lot more time to do my own thing, and of course still manage to reply to comments on my Space and visit a few choice friends such as yourself π Have a fun evening SIG π
Androgoth
Good to hear, my friend!
And thank you so much for stopping by as well – especially on your break – that means a lot – I’m honored, sir!
π
I am trying tyo find a little time each day
or every other day to call in and add my
thoughts to my friends Spaces, whilst I
just reply to anyone that has called into
mine and so far it’s working out great π
Have a fun day SIG π
Androgoth
Very generous of you, Andro!
I know from personal experience when you are trying to take a step back it’s not always the easiest thing to do!
Happy to hear you are finding a good balance over your break, though – that’s always the most important thing, I think (and it seems to be much easier said than done)!
π
Yes it certainly is easier said than done
in front of me I have tons of scripts just
waiting to be edited and put onto disc, I
will be getting through them though so
that is the main thing, of course these
little breaks I keep having are not helping
me to process them but hey, all work and
no play is dull so I’m not complaining π lol
Androgoth
Reblogged this on Conceptual Art.
very cool!
Many thanks, sir!
π
OMG, now my car won’t start. Damn you Cadillac flare!!!!
One… two… three… PUSH!
π
one …two … thr…..ah stuff it, everyone to the pub!!!!!
Agreed! Where we can start that count-down again!
π
coolest than the batman’s one π heehee
Hahaha! Thank you very much, Cristina!
To the Bat-Garage!
π
great design fragment!
Thank you very much, sir! You are very kind to say so!
π
Love the shot, love the car, and love the sun flare π
Thank you so much!
This was just too good to pass up (in fact I even double-backed for it)!
π
“I love you fer yer pink Cadillac
Crushed velvet seats
Ridin’ in the back
Cruisin’ down the street
Wavin’ to the girls
Feelin’ outta sight
Spendin’ all my money on a Saturday night
Honey I just wonder what you do there in the back
Of yer Pink Cadillac, Pink Cadillac”
AWESOME!
π
Hahaha…
perfect pitch, M.P! Do you take requests?!
π
Of course. π
Excellent!
Rock-on, M.P!
Rock-on!
π
I particularly like the toning.
The wires are an interesting element, it might be a temptation, for some, to take those out, but in this composition I believe they’re essential to the composition.
Thank you very much, sir! It’s nice to hear you say that… keeping those wires was one of the main reasons I I turned to Photoshop to edit this. While this one seemed to want (and maybe could still use a bit more) contrast, the keeping the wires seemed important (and the once-click fits all editing seemed to dodge out about 75 percent of them – which seemed even more odd, somehow).
π
how cool is this! a very unique perspective. thanks for sharing.
I have to admit I was pretty excited to come across this, P&K!
Thank you!
π
Love the angle…and the car.
Red.
Thanks you, Red!
I was a bit surprised to see it… and happy to go back to take another look!
π
A very classy looking photo.
Many thanks, Mr. M!
π
Wonderful. Reminds me of my father’s Fury and comic books. Then again, almost very thing connects to comic books and pulp magazines ( and quantum mechanics) in someway. π
Hahaha… agreed! SCIENCE!
π
This makes we want a poodle skirt and a chocolate malt!
Me, too!
Well… part of that, anyway.
π
