Sorry, all I had was Ginger Ale. And yes, I spilled it on myself. And my camera. And my tripod. And etc, etc. *hic* Anyway, wishing everyone the very best in 2013!
Harry Burns (of ‘Auld Lang Syne’): “What does this song mean? My whole life I don’t know what this song means. I mean, should old aquatints be forgot… does that mean that we should forget old acquaintances or does it mean that if we happen to forget them we should remember them which is not possible because we already forgot ’em?”
Sally Albright: “Well, maybe it just means that we should remember that we forgot them or something. Anyway, it’s about old friends.”
– Billy Crystal & Meg Ryan – When Harry Met Sally

That looks so pretty, and delicate, and refreshing.
Happy new year and the ones to follow, Robert, and the same to the lovely Annabelle. x x
I was trying to keep this one ‘simple’, although you sure couldn’t tell at the time (as I was trying a few different things and made a ridiculous mess trying to get everything set-up)!
Thank you very, very much, S.E! I hope you have the very happiest of new years as well!!!
🙂
cheers – and thanks for the ginger ale. one of my faves!
whatever does that old song mean? in any case, it may mean that if you are not technical, then you should not mess with your blog. i didn’t follow that advice, and due to some administrative changes in my corner of blogville, my crow avatar has become rather iffy. sometimes it appears, and sometimes it doesn’t but it really is me – with many thanks for your support during this last year – and with wishes for a very happy 2013 full of unexpected blessings. cheers and auld lang syne! blog on 🙂
You know… I hadn’t tried it in years… but it’s not that bad! Could use some caffeine, though. And other ‘Coke-like’ flavor(s).
Technology, right?! It’s probably a good thing I don’t know enough to make many changes or I’m sure the same would happen to me! Anyway, I hope everything gets all ironed-out for you… I know how frustrating these things can be!
And thank you, P&K! For your great kindness this past year as well! Wishing you the very best in 2013!
🙂
Have a Blessed New year
Why thank you, Laura! Very much! I wish the very same for you and your family!!!
🙂
Love your style and sparkle in this one SiG, every bubble a star! 2013 best wishes to you and Annabelle!
Thank you so much, Ms, K! That is very kind of you to say, as always! Wishing you the very happiest in 2013!
🙂
Lovely photo. I think old acquaintances are forgotten because we get soft in the brain as we age.
P.S. I love Ginger Ale Charlie. errr.. It is Charlie isn’t it??? I can’t quite remember…
Hmm… I’m not sure, Tony… my ‘concoction-skills’ are a bit lacking (at best)… sure sounds right, though…
🙂
Why thank you sir!
Hahaha… not me! Why, I was just saying the other day… wait… what was it I was talking about? What day is it again?
😉
Lovely Happy new year You photo is always inspiring
Thank you so much, sir! I hope you and your family have a very happy new year!
🙂
Have a sparkling new year’s eve! xxx
Why thank you! Very much! Wishing you a great one as well!
🙂
Very nice. Contemporary, clean. Love it
Many thanks! I like to keep things simple, but I always go back and forth on how far to take that, so I’m very happy to hear you liked it!
🙂
Ginger Ale tastes better anyway, LOL. Happy New Year!
And it’s like… 99 cents for two liters… which is nice!
Thank you so much, El! Wishing you a very, very happy 2013!
🙂
I don’t know why WordPress won’t let me “like” your posts. I really do, especially this one. Spectacular shot, as always. Happy New Year!
Technology… I could have a million ‘New Years’ to try figure it out and… yeah… I’d need a million more!
Thanks so much, H.C! A very happy new year to you as well!
🙂
In my world, it’s actually good luck to spill ginger ale on yourself. Pink bubbly, not so much (as you can tell). 🙂 Unfortunately, I Wikipedia’d the lyrics and now I only want a nap, darn those baffling Celtic fellows. A deeply happy 2013, SIG, to you and yours and to all who are looking in.
Excellent! Maybe that will balance out some of the bad luck from all the salt I spilled earlier on!
Thank you so much! Wishing you and your family a very happy new years as well!
🙂
Um… so this is ridiculously embarrassing… but are you on W.P?
I’m starting to feel pretty bad about not checking out your work after all the incredibly kind comments you leave me here!!! 😦
Happy 2013!! Thanks for sharing your photography!
Why thank you! Very much!
Wishing you the happiest of new years as well!
🙂
Happy New Year, SIG!! I love that quote! I can just hear it. I hope the new year brings you everything you dream about! It’s been fun knowing you this year.
That movie always reminds me of New Years… which is probably kind of silly… but, well… look who you’re dealing with, here!
Thank you so much, B.F! I hope you and your family have the very happiest of new years as well! Wishing you all the best in 2013!
🙂
Not silly, SIG! You’re right. That movie kind of reminds of all the holidays, New Year’s included. Thanks, best to you, too!
*whew* I was kinda thinking it was just me, B.F…
because… you know…
it usually is!
🙂
Happy New Year Mr. SIG 🙂
Thank you so much, Ms. B!
I hope you have a very happy new year as well!!!
🙂
¸.•*¨*•.A Very Happy New Year 2013 SIG•*¨*•.¸¸
Ginger Ale sounds pretty nifty to me but I would
much prefer something deliciously RED 🙂 🙂 🙂
Androgoth
How festive, A.G… thank you very much, my friend!
Hahaha… now there’s something I would have made a mess out of… I’m still finding Ginger Ale all over the place, so you can about imagine! 🙂
🙂 Have a superb evening SIG 🙂
Androgoth
Many thanks to you, Andro!

🙂
Happy New Year! 2013 is going to be the best!
Happy new year, Annabelle!
I hope so… that would be nice!
🙂
We watch this movie annually! I did post about the scene where she is turning “40”…someday!
Anyway, I always spill on my shirt. Right on my boobs so that anyone who looks at me, looks at my shirt. So, lieu of a toast, tonight’s (1st) spillage I will dedicate to you! Here here!
Cheers!
sandi
Pretty good, isn’t it? I haven’t seen it in a while… I should probably see what I can do about that!
Hahaha… it’s funny… the harder I try not to spill… the worse it gets! It’s probably a good thing I don’t do more of this sort of thing… my camera would NOT be very happy with me!
And thank you! Very, very much! Wishing you and yours all the best in 2013!
🙂
i raise my glass in cheers to you SIG! (Why that song endures I’ll never know.)
Happy New Year to you and Annabelle!
Certainly gets a lot of air-time, doesn’t it? Well… on new years, anyway.
Also, does anyone even say air-time anymore? I swear sometimes I sound older than that song!
Thank you so much, Ms. C! A very, very happy new year to you and yours as well!
🙂
Are you sure that wasn’t fermented ginger ale?
Happy New Year, Robert!
I suspect he spilled the champagne on his project and only has the ginger ale left now. There’s still time to buy more in Michigan 😉
Hahaha… well, that doesn’t sound like the sort of thing I would do!
*hic*
😉
*hic*
okay I’m sure pretty it was… 😉
A very, very happy new year to you as well, sir!

Happy New Year my friend! 🙂

🙂
Oh and that looks suspiciously like Ginger Ale Shiraz !!!!
Ale Shiraz Shiraz, whatever will be will be…..
🙂
*glug glug glug*
Huh? Where?
😉
Ohhhhh it’s so beautiful Bob. I’d spill ginger ale all over everything during a project as well. Ask my copy oh PS and desktop keyboard.
Have a great New Year. I’m going to use your image as my desktop for tonight and tomorrow 🙂
Well, it’s good to know I’m in good company! Because that stuff made a MESS! Parts of the kitchen floor are STILL suspect!
Thank you so very much, Ms. B! I hope you have a fantastic new year as well!
🙂
Cheers! Or should we offer a toast? I like how you added the date.
Stunning Masterpiece once again Bob , Happy New Year my friend 🙂
Thank you for your great kindness, as always, Jake!
Wishing you and your family a very happy new year as well, sir!
🙂
A sparkling new year to you! Hope it’s awesome 🙂
Why, thank you! Very much! Wishing you the very same!
🙂
I never did get the song either. I forget enough stuff without singin’ about it. I have always hoped everyone would forget this song.
Hahaha… forgetful should be my middle name, Bo!
🙂
Happy New Year my friend. May 2013 bring good things
Many thanks, Bearman! Wishing you and yours great happiness, too!
🙂
Happy New Year! Maybe this will be the year when we finally figure out what that song means.
Thanks, Laura! And the very same to you! Hahaha… start the timer!
🙂

Androgoth
Hahaha… well, I hope you were able to find everything you were looking for, my friend!
🙂
Your ginger ale would give the Dom Perignon a run for its money. Happy belated New Year!
Oh, my! Thank you, Peg! So very much! Wishing you a very, very happy 2013, too!
🙂
Beautiful shot…
And happy new year to you, SIG!
How kind of you to say, Mr. H! Thank you! Wishing you the very best as well, sir!
🙂
Beautiful shot of glass.
The song is actually about a photographer trying to decide about use of processes – ” Should old quaint tints be forgot.” All the best. 🙂
Thank you very much, sir! It was a bit trickier than it looks (but then it usually is, isn’t it)!
Hahaha… I like that! I’ll have to add it to my photo-play-list!
🙂
Cheers, Spilledinkguy! 😀
And to you as well, Cristina! Thank you!
🙂
Spilling is one of the biggest dangers of ginger ale. Outside of not having grenadine on hand for emergency Shirley Temples.
Absolutely! I had plenty of grenadine at one point… but most of it now seems stuck to the bottom of the bottle (and whatever the bottle sits on). Which is… yeah. I should probably do something about that.
🙂
Amazingly sharp image…
It took more doing than I anticipated, but it was fun!
🙂
Gosh, SIG, I LOVE this image and I love that scene and that movie! I could hear their actual voices when reading it. Happy New Year to you and Annabelle!
You aren’t alone: Non alcoholic cola-light for New Year for me too (strong pain meds for my foot injury means zero booze). Still, you CAN still have plenty of fun and the bonus is: you never get a hangover.
Ouch! Sounds doubly painful! In part, anyway. 🙂
