Kinda makes me think ‘The Matrix’. With Apple Blossom Scent.
Cypher: “I know what you’re thinking, ’cause right now I’m thinking the same thing. Actually, I’ve been thinking it ever since I got here: Why oh why didn’t I take the BLUE pill?”
– Joe Pantoliano – The Matrix
About this image: digital photograph (Canon 600D) lightly modified in Adobe Photoshop
I think those little bubbles are 1s and 0s….ooohh, the Matrix it is. Very cool, Robert! I don’t know how you do it. I can just smell the Apple, too. I’m feeling very clean all of a sudden.
Hahahah… that must be the secret to the ‘scrubbing power’, B.F! The suds have gone digital!
Hahaha… I don’t know if I’m feeling very clean… you should see the pile of dishes I neglected in order to play around with this!
🙂
How about Apple Blossom? Is that a name you like?
I was drawn to that one…
although the ‘anti-bacterial-ness’ might have had something to do with it, too.
🙂
I feel like I should send you a picture of my dirty dishes.
This is a cool picture — I don’t think I’ve ever seen soap suds in cross-section before.
Hahaha… I could do the same! I should probably spend less time staring at the dish washing liquid and more time actually washing dishes!
Thanks, Laura! 🙂
Super! The color is amazing! xxx
It’s so nice to hear you like it, sir! Thank you very much!
🙂
wish I could be more descriptive, but … wow!
Hey, I’ll take that any day, LB… thank you!
🙂
It reminds me of the bubbles in the center of a level tool. So cool!
I think it’s so cool you say that, Nancy – I did one a long time ago and I was reminded of that, too. I think this one is interesting, maybe, but the level bubble was a lot ‘simpler / cleaner’ – which I tend to like.
🙂
you have a knack of making the ordinary, totally non-ordinary!! very cool!
How kind of you to say, J.G… thank you! Hahaha… it probably also means I need to get out a bit more, the more that I think about it.
🙂
Love this photo, but it kinda looks like a science project about to blow up! It’s bubbling, stand back everyone! LOL
Hahaha… it’s like the classic baking soda volcano! Or was it baking powder (hmm… you can probably guess about how well my science projects used to turn out)!
🙂
You are so funny! I love your comments! You always have the knack for making my day!
As are you! And kind – which always makes my day as well!
🙂
Aw, blushing over here! Thanks.
Thank YOU!
🙂
Cool!
Thank you so very much! 🙂
That looks so science-fictiony (or from Nickalodeon) and cool!
Thanks, A.M! It does look a little slime-like, doesn’t it?!
🙂
Wow, Sig, this looks like something you would see under a microscope. You’re so clever!
Have a great week! 🙂
I was thinking it looked a bit ‘biological’, too, Deb!
And thank you! Very, very much! Wishing you the very same, too, of course!
🙂
Fascinating shot.
Thank you, Nancy!
🙂
That looks like my tub
Hahaha… you mean you’re not a natural green-head?!
🙂
I believe you, but only because you say these are soap bubbles! Love the detail with the green glow!
It did start to look pretty wild! Thank you so much, Ms. K! I sincerely appreciate that!
🙂
So I’m not the only one who has watched too many scifi-series and movies lately 😀 This is most comforting 😉
Hahaha… right?! I think my DVD player is even a bit scared at this point! Or tired, anyway!
🙂
Now that you mention it, your image kind of reminds me of the slime from Ghostbusters. 🙂
We ain’t afraid of no grime!
🙂
Matrix ginger ale.
I promise by the time you’re done drinking it, you’ll feel right as rain…
🙂
It takes a special eye to see beauty in dish soap!
Either that or I got some in my eye and it looked better all blurry-like!
Thank you very, very much, Madame!
🙂
That looks awfully like an incredible Hulk sneeze to me. Tissue anyone?
TISSUES GETTING ANGRY!
🙂
It’s like some alien slime invaders!
I hope they come in peace – to do the dishes!
🙂
Apple Blossom Scent. 🙂 Were you procrastinating on dish detail?
Hahaha… who, me?! ALWAYS!
(You should see the water-spots from all the time I spent staring at the bottle!)
🙂
So that’s what causes those…Hope you’ve had a great day!
Whoa! (Said in my best Keanu voice)
DUDE!
🙂
see, you’re feeling it now, aren’t ya! 🙂
TOOOOTALLY, DUDE!
DUDE! MAN! DUDE!
🙂
something strange is afoot at the Circle K!
Hahaha… strange is kinda normal over here, isn’t it?!
🙂
Kinda looks like an unplugged lava lamp to me. Oh there is no spoon.
Good call, J.B! Far-out!
🙂
The green slime reminds me of that commercial “you’re not as clean as you think…”
Hahaha… nothing around here is very clean with all my procrastination!
🙂
so cool and fun! love the rich texture.
but those very tiny bubbles on the far right on the lower half of your image are another matter altogether. they appear to be quietly brewing and scheming up something huge….. and for some strange reason i am reminded of movie, ‘the attack of the killer tomatoes’. not that i am necessarily endorsing nor dissing that movie. not sure if you ever saw it but there were even three sequels, none of which i have
yetseen. one of them apparently stars George Clooney, by the way.in any case, it looks as if you have a spin-off in the making here: the threat of the green apple blossom bubbles…..
that’s what comes to mind as i look at this, but i digress terribly once again. urk. anyhow, thanks for sharing. 🙂
You know… I don’t think I’ve ever seen that movie! Which seems sad – I’ve certainly heard of it before. Well, the original, anyway (this is the first I knew of there being sequels – wild – now I’m WAY behind)! Hmm… do you think I can convince Clooney to wash the dishes?! Might be good research for any upcoming films. Or maybe not… but still.
Thank you very much, P&K – what a kind and generous comment, as always!
🙂
and also a bit silly and completely irrelevant too, that info. not necessarily movies to add to your bucket list either, but there it is. in any case Clooney washing the dishes. sounds like a plan. good luck with that and do keep us posted! 🙂
Sometimes a movie that doesn’t require too much heavy-lifting is the perfect thing, though! So I’ll definitely have to keep it in mind! Hahaha… indeed – it might be a bit of a wait!
🙂
Great composition.
“Carbonated Soylent Green ! The effervescent energy drink of the future. Aged to Perfection.” 😀
I do not know where this stuff comes from, your posts & images are just inspirational in so many ways.
Thanks, sir! I just got lucky on that… shook up the bottle and I was ready to go!
*probably not recommend by the Carbonated Soylent Green people, I would imagine!*
🙂
Inky…That’s really cool!!! I don’t know how you did it….but I likes it!!!
Thank you very much, Mary! Nothing too complicated, really – just put the bottle in a dark room and lit it from underneath. Hahaha… well, it shouldn’t have been complicated, but you know… I have a way of making things complicated.
🙂
Gorgeouuuuuuuuuus. Love it. Brilliant. Perfection. Especially the ultra-saturated color.
Thanks, U.M! I’m happy to hear you liked this one… I keep going back and forth. I tried to cut back on any lighting (other than from underneath) to reduce glare / reflections / etc. on the bottle, but now I’m wondering about that… maybe a hint of another source would have helped a bit… hmm…
🙂
Your work has turned the soap dish into something reminiscent of a petri-dish. Ah. memories of my daughter’s childhood.
Love the greens Bob!!!!
Hahaha… now that you mention it… pretty sure there might be some questionable materials growing in the back of a crisper drawer or two… *urp*!
Thank you very much, Ms. B!
🙂
I’ve always referred to those two bottom draws in the fridge as ‘The Rotter.’ -grin-
HA! It’s a pretty accurate description, Ms. B…
🙂
Fascinating photo, Bob. You’ve transformed mundane dish soap into a beauty. If I had such gorgeous green dish water I’d get a lot more dishes done!
Thank you very much, S.F!
Hahaha… it’s kind of lost it’s appeal for me, though… I’ve already gone back to doing more staring out the window than washing dishes.
🙂
This photo made me remember a very old Dishwashing Liquid ad that was famous here in Australia
HA!
So that explains the mysterious coughing noises coming from my kitchen cabinets!
🙂
It looks like alien’s fluid! 😀
I just re-watched D-9 last night. I hope that you don’t mind me relating everything that I see today to alien. 😀
Hahaha… not at all, Cristina! It was looking a little extra-terrestrial-ish to me, too!
🙂
All your photos are very imaginative and unique 🙂
Great stuff!
How kind of you to say!
Thank you so very much!
🙂
Very nice, Robert. Like a mutant Matrix for sure, or else some kind of lethal goop. 🙂
Thank you, S.E! I liked this one at first, but now I’m not so sure…
I still like the concept, but I think I might have to experiment with a bit of a different lighting set-up, etc…
🙂
This could be grasshopper
spit if I didn’t know better 🙂 lol
Another fine piece of art SIG
well done you never fail to
amaze everyone with your
fine, wicked creative talents 🙂
Hahaha…now that you mention it…
thank you so very much, sir!
🙂
Great details and color. Clearly this is a family friendly ‘clean’ blog 😉
Thanks, Martin! Hahaha… I don’t know if it’s ‘safe’ for readers of any age, really…
🙂
