Pierce Stocking Pop

Pierce Stocking Overlook. All popped-out.

Warhol Girl: “Andy, Yoko’s here to see you.”

Andy Warhol: “Oh, Yoko. Tell her I’m filming this man eating a hamburger… it’s… transcendent. Okay, now the pickle!”

  1. Another fine example of your work SIG and another thing
that I have never mentioned, I always like your quotes 🙂 🙂

Have a fun time today and don’t be doing
anything that I might do either 😉 🙂 🙂 lmao

    • Fantastic!
It is kind of beachy, isn’t it?! I think that’s probably just me wishing for some warmer weather! Isn’t it spring-time yet?! 😦
Thank you so much, Deb! Wishing you the very same!
      🙂

    • It’s so interesting you say that! That’s the original color scheme I was planning on going with (before I decided to go wild and cram 4 different versions into the same pot, anyway!
Thank you very much, Robyn! Wishing you a good one as well!
      🙂

    • I’m sorry about that, Amy… it’s kind of crazy sounding, isn’t it?!
The ‘Pierce Stocking’ part comes from the name of the scenic drive / overlook where I took this photo, and the ‘Pop’ bit is a vague reference to Pop Art (because I tried to pattern the design after some of the multiple colored images that Andy Warhol used to make – which also explains the quote – er, um, in a way, anyway.
I’m very happy that you liked this, B.F! Thank you so much!
      🙂

  2. Hi Inky….I’m glad that BumbleFiles asked about “Pierce Stocking.” I had decided it meant a particular place when I saw “overlook.” I love pop art…good rendition you have there! Do you know I must be one of the few in America who hasn’t seen the “Men in Black” movies 😀

    • Hi Mary! Yeah – sorry – I probably should have used my words a bit better (I have a way of doing that, you know)!
Well, you know… I don’t really want to spoil anything for you… but… just between you and me… there are ALIENS! 🙂

  3. Great pic as usual. I don’t always get the quotes but I have a very vivid imagination. I can picture Yoko Ono being made to wait while Andy Warhol shoots a picture of a hamburger. I believe you, however, could make a better burger picture. You are the man. Haven’t seen the movie but there is Blockbuster news. I went to see “Jack the Giant Killer” last week with my wife, my daughter and grandson. Eventually you will need to find a way to work “There is someone behind me isn’t there?” into your quotes. I really liked the movie. Movies are fun with my daughter and my grandson because we ad our own captions to some of the scenes.
Ahhh. I have rambled again. Please forgive me I am getting senile and I tend to rattle on.
Just one question though, that is not a picture of an outhouse with an upstairs is it? They don’t work well.

    • Thanks, Bo! Yeah… I usually don’t get them either (that probably shows a bit, huh?)! Hahaha… I guess better that than being accused of breaking-up Andy and his lunch, I guess.
Hmmm… I haven’t seen that one yet, Bo. Absolutely – I feel the same way – it’s a great way to relax and forget about your troubles for a little while (and any excuse to spend some times with family and friends is a good one, I think).
Not at all! I’m on permanent ramble-on mode (so I would never notice)!
HA! The ground floor level in particular!
      🙂

  4. Huuh, very cool! What a dreamy palette 😀 and the quote made me smile as usual, although I’m not sure I got the meaning of it correct (also as usual) :-p

  5. I think #1 is my fave, but I always love seeing different versions of the same piece. I feel like maybe that means I’m not good at making decisions and trusting in my “artistic vision”, but . . . I like to think that it’s just that I have an open mind.
