Pierce Stocking Overlook. All popped-out.
Warhol Girl: “Andy, Yoko’s here to see you.”
Andy Warhol: “Oh, Yoko. Tell her I’m filming this man eating a hamburger… it’s… transcendent. Okay, now the pickle!”
– Francesca Tedeschi & Bill Hader – Men in Black 3

Another fine example of your work SIG and another thing
that I have never mentioned, I always like your quotes 🙂 🙂
Have a fun time today and don’t be doing
anything that I might do either 😉 🙂 🙂 lmao
Excellent! I’m very happy to hear that, sir! Sometimes I have a difficult time with that. Other times, though (like today) something seems to ‘pop’ into my mind right away!
🙂
I always admire creativity and you have one of the finest Spaces around WP, I have probably told you that before but it’s true 🙂 🙂
Keep up the great work SIG 🙂
Many thanks, sir!
Well, I do know that I have some of the kindest visitors on WP, anyway!
🙂
Yoko is Japanese name, you know. 🙂 I should watch Men in Black. 🙂
Ah, yes, I see! 🙂
I watched the first one a long time ago, and I just saw this third one a few months ago. To tell you the truth I can’t even remember if I’ve seen the second one.
🙂
No one can.
Hahaha… maybe not even Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones…
🙂
Beachy! 🙂 I like it, as you knew I would!
Hope you and the missus has a nice St. Patrick’s day! Have a great week, Sig! 🙂
Fantastic!
It is kind of beachy, isn’t it?! I think that’s probably just me wishing for some warmer weather! Isn’t it spring-time yet?! 😦
Thank you so much, Deb! Wishing you the very same!
🙂
I LOVE the Pop Art design on this too! Simply Beautiful!
Thank you so very much! I had fun ‘assembling’ this one (the most difficult part was making a decision… it seemed like there were almost too many choices)!
🙂
I like! I think the bottom right frame is my favorite, but all are nice. Have a great day! Robyn
It’s so interesting you say that! That’s the original color scheme I was planning on going with (before I decided to go wild and cram 4 different versions into the same pot, anyway!
Thank you very much, Robyn! Wishing you a good one as well!
🙂
I so love this!
That is wonderful to hear! I thank you! Very much!
🙂
Excellent work Bob, Amazing transformation 🙂
Thank you, my friend!
I very much appreciate your kind thoughts!
🙂
The different shadings are so pretty and I think I like . . . . that one! (she says pointing to them all!)
You should have seen me, Ms. K… it was probably quite a sight… trying to narrow it down to just four!
And thank you! Very, very much!
🙂
Hi, Robert! I love this! I’m a little confused by the title. Please do tell me what it means? I love the different shades and colors. It’s magnificent!!
I’m sorry about that, Amy… it’s kind of crazy sounding, isn’t it?!
The ‘Pierce Stocking’ part comes from the name of the scenic drive / overlook where I took this photo, and the ‘Pop’ bit is a vague reference to Pop Art (because I tried to pattern the design after some of the multiple colored images that Andy Warhol used to make – which also explains the quote – er, um, in a way, anyway.
I’m very happy that you liked this, B.F! Thank you so much!
🙂
It’s a nice take on that style of pop art design.
Many thanks, good sir!
🙂
Hi Inky….I’m glad that BumbleFiles asked about “Pierce Stocking.” I had decided it meant a particular place when I saw “overlook.” I love pop art…good rendition you have there! Do you know I must be one of the few in America who hasn’t seen the “Men in Black” movies 😀
Hi Mary! Yeah – sorry – I probably should have used my words a bit better (I have a way of doing that, you know)!
Well, you know… I don’t really want to spoil anything for you… but… just between you and me… there are ALIENS! 🙂
Woah, man . . . transcendent pickles. That’s deep!
Great pop art!
Hahaha… right?!
Thank you very much, Nancy!
🙂
Love this, seeing all the color variations. Nice work!
Thank you very much, Patti!
It’s funny – four different ‘versions’ and I still had a difficult time narrowing down my choices!
🙂
For some reason, when I saw the title of this post, I thought there would be an image of a woman’s legs!
Love the subtle coloring between the 4 images.
Hahaha… that doesn’t sound like the sort of thing I would do, does it?!
Why, thank you Ms. C! Very much!
🙂
I thought for sure pierce stocking was going to be another cheesecake shot. 😉 Lovely work!
Hahaha… I wish!
Thank you very, very much, Peg – I appreciate that!
🙂
Great pic as usual. I don’t always get the quotes but I have a very vivid imagination. I can picture Yoko Ono being made to wait while Andy Warhol shoots a picture of a hamburger. I believe you, however, could make a better burger picture. You are the man. Haven’t seen the movie but there is Blockbuster news. I went to see “Jack the Giant Killer” last week with my wife, my daughter and grandson. Eventually you will need to find a way to work “There is someone behind me isn’t there?” into your quotes. I really liked the movie. Movies are fun with my daughter and my grandson because we ad our own captions to some of the scenes.
Ahhh. I have rambled again. Please forgive me I am getting senile and I tend to rattle on.
Just one question though, that is not a picture of an outhouse with an upstairs is it? They don’t work well.
Thanks, Bo! Yeah… I usually don’t get them either (that probably shows a bit, huh?)! Hahaha… I guess better that than being accused of breaking-up Andy and his lunch, I guess.
Hmmm… I haven’t seen that one yet, Bo. Absolutely – I feel the same way – it’s a great way to relax and forget about your troubles for a little while (and any excuse to spend some times with family and friends is a good one, I think).
Not at all! I’m on permanent ramble-on mode (so I would never notice)!
HA! The ground floor level in particular!
🙂
MIB…finally a movie I know.
Hmmm…
*raises eyebrow*
😉
Huuh, very cool! What a dreamy palette 😀 and the quote made me smile as usual, although I’m not sure I got the meaning of it correct (also as usual) :-p
Why, thank you! Very much!
That makes two of us! I never know what’s going on over here… and I’m usually the one who is responsible (I think)!
🙂
I think #1 is my fave, but I always love seeing different versions of the same piece. I feel like maybe that means I’m not good at making decisions and trusting in my “artistic vision”, but . . . I like to think that it’s just that I have an open mind.
Seconded! Four different versions of this thing and I still had a difficult time narrowing it down… seriously… I need help, U.M.
🙂
what a lovely click, click, click, click.
thanks for sharing 😀
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, P&K!
🙂
Try not getting your feet wet….or sand in the car!!!
No worries, Loon… all the water and sand usually finds it’s way into my camera long before it does the car! 🙂
😯
Love the four different processing techniques you used.
How very kind of you to say! Thank you!
🙂
Four of them have their own beauties. I love it! The pink sky makes the photo so romantic.
Thank you very much, Cristina! I often have a difficult time making decisions… this time I only had to narrow it down to four! Which helped – a bit – maybe!
🙂
I don’t get the dialogue. But then again I didn’t see MIB3
Hahaha… I usually don’t get anything I read on my blog. And I’m the one on the business end of the keyboard!
🙂
Excellent ! You mad very smart use of your phone. 🙂
That men in Black Warhol bit was very funny.
