I can imagine! Well, I wouldn’t be able to manage without a computer, so I’d probably get a new one somehow. Over here you can get them pretty cheaply if you don’t mind a desktop computer.
I’m kind of weird in that I tend to prefer working on a desktop… maybe because so much of what I do is image related (it’s nice to have a lot of working space and screen area for that)… well, that and it makes me feel a bit like I’m working at NASA or something, I guess. 😉

I do have one or two things in my ‘buffer’… and I fortunately I can continue to use my phone (and my wife’s computer to post things), but I’ve become so used to working in a certain way and with certain tools… at this point I’m not quite sure I want to do otherwise… I guess I’ll keep thinking about it.

Here’s a definition from ‘Wikipedia’ that sums it up pretty well (better than I could describe, anyway!):
‘A facepalm (sometimes also face-palm or face palm) is the physical gesture of placing one’s hand flat across one’s face or lowering one’s face into one’s hand or hands. Yeah… unfortunately it’s the computer that’s the problem. It is 8 years old (and has an insane ammount of hours on it, but… come-on! Kinda knocks out my camera, my Photoshop, my Illustrator, my scanner… BLAH!!! 😦
The nightmare that is transferring everything across to new computer. All those codes and passwords. Hand me the whiskey 😦

Sorry to hear about your computer. Hopefully you can get a replacement soon. I’d be lost without my computer. And upgrading or changing over to a new one is always a major hassle. Good luck with that!

my camera (Panasonic DMC-FZ40) suddenly stopped working the other day as well. fortunately it is still under warranty. unfortunately the place where I bought it was unable to help directly. fortunately they gave me the information with which I could contact the people who are supposed to be able to help. unfortunately I have not yet heard back from them. fortunately I have a phone number for following up…… etc. you get the picture, if you’ll pardon the pun.
hope the technology in both our corners of the blogosphere gets sorted out! 🙂
