I couldn’t find the name of this pedestrian / suspension bridge… it’s located near ‘Picnic Island’ in Forest Park, though. And it’s quite bouncy in parts.
About this image: digital photograph taken and modified with smart phone
That is very kind of you to say, S.E… thank you! As you’ve probably noticed I’m pretty happy to see some spring weather (I just wish those colors would stick around a bit longer)!
🙂
This is a fine example of your work my great friend and the colours are
amazing 🙂 The blur effect really adds to the foreground detail, which is the
main focus of your study and in doing so offers a natural blend to the whole
scene that I really like 🙂 🙂 Your talents are infinite, well done 🙂
Incredibly kind of you, as always, sir! I have to admit that sounds worlds better than when I was just thinking, ‘Well, I’m out here, anyway – I guess I’ll see what happens if I go throw my phone up in a tree..’!
Thank you very much, Andro! I hope you have a good one, too – and a wonderful weekend as well!
🙂
Suspension bridges always unnerve me. There’s always some kid who jumps up and down making the whole thing sway violently.
Luckily your photo has me on sold ground! Great image.
I have to admit the ‘bounce’ did take a moment to get used too…
something tells me if this bridge was more than a few feet off the ground I might have started to get a bit nervous!
Thank you very much for your kindness, as always, Ms. C!
🙂
Thank you very much, Amy! I’ve walked over / around by this bridge a few times, but I don’t think I have ever been there when the trees were blooming like that – it was a very nice surprise!
🙂
What a kind comment – thank you so very much! I don’t know how much credit I can take for that, though… I was half-way hanging onto the tree with one arm and shooting with the other… I imagine I looked pretty silly, to say the least!
🙂
Hahaha… seems like that violates some kind of convention, doesn’t it?
Funny you should mention that, Loon… I was half-way wondering what would happen with a little air-brush pruning on that very branch…
🙂
Hahaha… you know, that’s pretty much what happened, too, Madame… I half-way climbed up that tree… come to think of it I’m kinda lucky there wasn’t an ‘incident’…
🙂
Oh, great, another tree picture that makes mine look stupid. The only upside is that your tree reminds me of this weird sculpture thing on the path we used to walk by the East River (R.I.P. KamKat), which reminds me of a rollercoaster. So, I hate you, but it’s pretty.
That will be the day!
Although I do fell all techie, now (I don’t know if anyone’s ever sent me a link to a map before… I feel all Lewis and Clark-ish… you know… if they… lived… in the age of… computers and such)!
Also I’m pretty sad after the ‘R.I.P. KamKat’, so… the numbness helps with that last sentence.
🙂
This is a really neat snap! It definitely caught my eye, and needless to say, my eyes were very pleased.
And I was very pleased to hear you liked this! Thank you so very much for stopping by! And for leaving such a kind comment as well!!! 🙂
Of course, anytime 🙂
🙂
That’s really lovely, Robert. I like the foreground /background and this gorgeous combination of unusual colours. Very nice, dude! 🙂

hmm! very idyllic and inviting! take a walk to enjoy the spring, it says 😀
Wonderful! I’ll sure take that (well, after a nice nap, maybe 😉 )!
Thank you very, very much!

Beautiful Robert! You are making me miss home! Have a great weekend! Robyn
I’m very happy to hear this didn’t leave you feeling the opposite, Robyn! Thank you! And I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well!
🙂
SiG, this is so pretty and full of happy spring!
Thank you very much, Ms. K! It seems like it has been a very long winter… I sure hope spring decides to stick around for a while!

It’s so pretty, Robert. I wish I could there at this very moment! I love the colors too. Nice.
Thank you very much, Amy! I’ve walked over / around by this bridge a few times, but I don’t think I have ever been there when the trees were blooming like that – it was a very nice surprise!
🙂
I would call it “the Picnic Island Bridge that bounces about in Forest Park.” Oh, maybe that’s a wee bit too long. 😉
Hahaha… oh, I don’t know, Nancy… I think that has a very nice ‘bounce’ to it, too!
🙂
Dreamy and summery. beautiful!
Very kind of you, sir! Many thanks for that!
🙂
Very beautiful.
Thank you very, very much!
🙂
I like bouncy bridges
I don’t mind them when they’re this close to the ground…
🙂
This has a very Asian feel to it. I expect if I take the path over that bridge I might end up in a Zen rock garden.
Thanks, Peg! I think I might have fallen into a Zen rock garden before…
🙂
Beautiful garden! very warm picture 🙂
Why, thank you! I thought it was a pretty cool spot, too!
🙂
Great photo. The garden always attracts us. 🙂
Thank you very much, sir! I agree! Especially since spring is finally here!
🙂
That’s a very nicely framed and balanced image.
Thank you very much, sir! I had just been practicing my balance after bouncing over the bridge… 🙂
What a lovely shot! Great composition and color. Creative point of focus. I like this very much!

Is that branch tickling the bridge? Evil 😉

This is lovely. I would love to spend some time therel
Why, thank you! I’ve been here quite a few times, but never when these trees were in bloom, so that was a pretty cool surprise! 🙂
I bet that would be beautiful at night with fireworks.
Sounds like a ‘blast’!
🙂
I love what you did with the colors, very retro-ish. I also love the focus, sort of like someone peeking out through the trees at the bridge.
Hahaha… you know, that’s pretty much what happened, too, Madame… I half-way climbed up that tree… come to think of it I’m kinda lucky there wasn’t an ‘incident’…
🙂
Now you just need the wedding couple somewhere in that pic.
Ha! I guess I shouldn’t have told them to get lost…
🙂
Soooooo pretty!
Thank you so much!
🙂
so Springlike!
It’s about time, isn’t it?! Come-on, spring! 🙂
Wow! Wow! Wow! This image is taking my breath away!!! So beautiful! 😀
That is so wonderful to hear, Cristina – I’m very happy to hear you liked it! And I thank you!
🙂

Beautiful retro-colour composition. Wonderful nostalgic atmosphere. 🙂
Why, thank you, sir! Very much!

Oooo, this is pretty!
I had never been there when the trees were blooming, Patti – so it was a pretty cool surprise!
