Outside The Sleeping Bear Inn last summer (which is totally abandoned, so… you know… it’s not like that). Have a great weekend, everyone!

I thought this was Darth Vader at first
glance but what a fine offering my great
friend, a reflection within a reflection,
so how cool is that idea? ๐ ๐
Have a wicked one today SIG ๐
Andro
HA! Hilarious!
‘Luke… I am NOT your father. No. Really.’
Thank you very much, Andro! I hope you are having a good one as well, sir!
๐
Wow I was actually the first to comment, now
that is definitely a first for me, I think? ๐ ๐ ๐ lol
Have a wickedly exciting rest of weekend SIG ๐
Hmm… I’m not sure if that’s happened before or not, Andro…
all I know is that every comment you leave is very kind (and sincerely appreciated)!
Many thanks, sir – I hope you are having a good one as well!
๐
Fabulous! So mysterious! Love it! Have a great weekend! Robyn
Thank you so very much for your kind thoughts, Robyn! I hope you have a good one as well!
๐
Ninjas can only be seen as a reflection. Sheez, they don’t call me little grasshopper for nothing!!!

(so… um… I hope ‘Google Translate’ was in the ballpark on that one)
It’s a reflection in a reflection. Creepy cool! At least we now know you’re not a vampire!
Hope you have a great weekend.
Hahaha… I considered telling everyone I shot this in Bon Temps…
(thank you very much, Ms. C! I hope you have a good one as well)!
๐
WOW!! Inky – so creepy coooool!
PS: I’ve misssssed you! Hope you & the beautiful ‘Belle are doing wonderfully. ๐
Thank you very, very much!
I had some ‘technical issues’ a while back which was kind of a bummer, but everything has been resolved and we are doing okay! I hope your family is having a wonderful summer, too, Dishy! Thank you again!
๐
I feeling like I’m spying on the neighbors across the road wit binoculars.
Great image, Sig…you know I love like silhouettes.
Have a great weekend! ๐
It does feel a bit like that, doesn’t it? Fortunately no one’s been at home here for quite a while, or else I’m sure I’d have been in trouble!
Thank you very much, Deb! That is very kind of you to say! I hope you have a good one as well!
๐
Very cool!
Thank you so much!
๐
Fantastic! I love it. Great composition.
Thank you very much! It was just kind of luck… I walked in closer to check out this amazing light, and the window seemed to take care of all the rest!
๐
I echo the other sentiments, Robert. Cool, creepy, and fantastic all in one reflective shot. Most excellent. Glad I caught this one – it’s been ages since I’ve entered the blogosphere. Life is calling me in other areas. *sigh*
Thank you very, very much, Ms. D!
I know that feeling – I’ve been there and done that myself! I just hope that you and your family are doing well (and having a wonderful summer)! ๐
I have always had a liking of reflection images.
I sometimes almost get the feeling they’re like tiny windows into a slightly altered reality…
there’s something a bit different about the ‘feel’ of everything in a reflection…
(maybe it’s just the way things are mirrored, or layerd, but it’s kind of strange in a way).
๐
I can’t figure out how you got this shot. Wow. You just blew my mind.
To tell you the truth I’m not really sure how this all happened, either, Peg…
just a happy accident (which is a nice kind to have)!
๐
You put more layers in an image with your keen eye alone than most people can manage with Photoshop… Great composition, processing.
How incredibly kind of you to say, sir!
I really can’t take to much credit for the layering here – it was just a very happy accident! I was drawn over by this incredible golden light (and when I got closer the rest just kind of… happened…)!
Thank you again, sir! Very, very much!
๐
Ha! Accident! No such thing. The best street photography is born of an unpredictable mix of serendipity and sheer luck.
But, you are only as lucky as you make yourself. Thank you ๐
All I know for sure is that you make it look much, much easier than it is! Wonderful talent, sir!
๐
Amazing picture.
Thank you very much!
๐
Robert, this is riveting. I feel like you’ve taken me to another dimension. I don’t know…I don’t think I’m setting foot in that place. I happen to believe in ghosts, so I’m not taking my chances. Unless, of course, they’re nice.
It’s a very interesting looking place (from what I could see from the outside, anyway). I don’t think I’d want to hang out there by myself at night though. Just in case. Safety first when it comes to potential hauntings, right?!
๐
Glad to know you’re not a Peeping Tom. ๐ฏ
I had the same thought as Nancy. Have a great weekend!
Great minds, Patti!
And thank you – I hope you are having a good one, too!
๐
Hahaha… yeah, it occurred to me right as I was about to post this one that I should probably clear that up…
๐
You always take great shots! Very nice composition on this one.
Thank you very much, sir! You are always incredibly kind!
๐
This does have a creepy feel! I agree with Binky on both counts ๐
Thank you, thank you, Mary!
๐
It’s so spooky. It could be a ghost, or it could be someone in another dimension staring at you through some sort of bizarre interdimensional window. I like.
Fortunately I have it on good authority it’s a pretty laid-back ghost, Madame (mostly just haunting pillows… is it time for a nap yet?)!
๐
So when you screw up and get in your own shot, you just make a name that make people think it was on purpose? haha
Ha! Like, totally, dude!
๐
Very nice. I thought that that man is you. How cool.
Thank you very much, sir! Yes… it’s me… kind of (it’s a little warped from the glass, but… something like that, anyway)!
๐
Very Kool! I was trying to do something similar the other day while waiting for my carpoolers. (I was bored). I noticed how the reflections reacted on the designed glass in my door. Unfortunately I didn’t get a shot anywhere near as nice as this. I just couldn’t capture what I was seeing.
This was just all kinds of luck – I really can’t take credit for most of it at all! To tell you the truth I originally walked over because I saw this really great, warm light bouncing around on the glass… and then… this just… kind of happened! I don’t really have the first clue as to why or how, but I thought it was kind of interesting in a way! Just a lucky day, I guess!
๐
Layers! I love it, Robert. ๐
Thank you very much, S.E! It was a happy surprise… I had just headed over to check out some really cool light when this unfolded…
๐
So beautifully balanced and so mysterious!
This place really did / does have a very interesting ‘feel’ to it…
Thank you so very much, Ms. K!
๐
Would be a good one for the ‘In The Background’ Weekly Photo Challenge ๐ Like the reflection within a reflection!
Many thanks, sir! I might have to investigate getting back into the photo challenges… it was kind of fun (when I could think of something that was appropriate-ish, anyway)!
๐
A ghostly figure in a deserted inn. Nice
Hahaha… that might explain all the Scooby prints…
๐
Wow! Amazing shot! A frame within a frame within a frame!
Thanks Cristina! It just kind of worked out that way on it’s own… kind of lucky!
๐
Excellent shot. Eye catching & mysterious.
Many thanks, sir! The whole little village is kind of mysterious… in a way. And pretty interesting, too… a lot of history.
