Common Blue Morpho

Don’t worry… no animals were harmed or mistreated in any way during the production of this post. The above is a paper Morpho peleides from the St. Louis Butterfly House that I’ve strung-up in a pasta sauce jar (which I even took the time to wash out first). You’re welcome, fake butterfly.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Faces

You should have seen this guy… he was literally covered in his lunch (I’m fairly certain one more piece of straw would have broken his back)! It was so distracting I spent about two hours airbrushing him. Then I decided the results were almost too clean, so I cropped off half my work and threw a ton of noise / dust / scratches at the poor dude.

*sigh* I think we could both use a bib. And maybe a glass of water.

Daddy Needs to Get Out More

And now, a conversation with my cat.

Dharma: “Meeeeow.”

Me: “I know, Dharma. I really don’t want to be taking your picture, either. The title pretty much says it all.”

Dharma: “Meeeeow.”

Me: “That’s uncalled for. The same to you, then.”

Dharma: “Meeeeow.”

Me: “Meeeeow.”

I hope you have enjoyed this conversation with my cat. Please keep in mind the ‘details’ would only get lost in translation.

Zebra

Here’s a zebra. Sporting some lovely vertical strips… very fashionable. And slimming.

I kinda like the mohawk, too. I wonder if I could rock one of those successfully? Hmm… something tells me I should probably just stick to vertical stripes.

Have a great weekend, everyone.
