I totally ripped off was inspired to try the above after looking at a photo on my utility bill. Full disclosure. But the check for all that gas consumption is in the mail, so I’m sure that helps. Have a great weekend, everyone!
Harry (checking who has knocked on the door): “There’s two of ’em… one of ’ems got a gun!”
Lloyd: “Did you pay the gas bill?
Harry: “shhhaaaaaahh…”
Lloyd: “Do ya realize what you’ve done?!”
Harry: “Sorry. I say we bail!”
Lloyd: “Um-kay.”

Mmm, I really like it Robert. Cool colours and it still looks hot. Very nice. I didn’t mean for those puns!
I’m very happy to hear that, S.E… thank you so much!
I was kind of happy with the colors… which was nice… because the more I look at the previous post the more I’m disappointed with how it turned out (I wish I would have waited, gone back and re-shot that one… oh well).
π
Coolest thing to ever come from a utility bill π
Thanks so much, Ms. N!
Including the ‘paper mache incident’ from a while back…
but…
I don’t like to talk about that…
π
You should have slow burned your gas bill !!!!
That would have been a small inferno!
π
“My bird died.”
“How’d he die?”
“Natural causes. His head fell off.”
‘I’ve had it with this dump!
we’ve got no food…
we’ve got n o jobs…
our pets’ HEADS ARE FALLIN’ OFF!’
π
For some reason my first thought was that I want to put my finger in that fire. Is that wrong?
It’s always fun until someone looses an eye!
Er… wait… that doesn’t quite work here, does it?!
π
Cool, SIG! I love the colors. I’m glad your gas is good for something, I mean that you inspired you to create this. I can’t say a bill has ever done that for me. Usually, they just make me want to cry!
Thanks so much, B.F! I was kinda happy with the colors, too (for a change).
In the spring/summer months my gas bill isn’t too scary… but the heat in our apartment is gas… so I’m starting to get a bit teary-eyed myself!
π
You could use the fire to lay waste to your utility bill…now that you’ve paid it of course! π
Love the iridescent glow of the fire in your photo!
Hahaha… indeed! And subtract the BTU’s from my heating bill!
Thanks so much, Ms. C… you are always incredibly kind… and I sincerely appreciate that!
π
Something out of nothing once again!
Many thanks, Mr. B!
One of those, ‘What’s it gonna be today?’ apartment rampages again.
π
LOL… you make do pretty well my friend. π
You know… you are pretty darn kind!
Many thanks, Mr. B!
π
That burner is a thing of beauty. Seriously! Up here in the wilds of Maine gas stoves are rare, and I miss mine often. There is something to be said for 4 to 6 burners of pure natural gas burning bliss.
The sad part is I don’t even know the first thing to do with it, Dishy! If I’m having a good day I might be able to boil some water, but that’s about the extent of things… which is a real shame (especially considering the culinary magic you create, Dishy)!
π
The gas guy carries a gun???
That photo is entrancing. Hard to stop looking at it. Great job Bob
Hahaha…
well, it’s a fairly convoluted story, but basically they are actually hitmen who Harry and Lloyd confuse as being gas guys.
Thanks so much, Mr. M! You are very kind to say that, sir!
π
Love the colors you’ve captured. I have to set something afire to get such an effect on my electric stove. I don’t think I’ll try this one, but if the situation presents itself, I’ll grab the camera first, then the extinguisher. Yeah, right.
Thanks so much, Patti!
Hahaha… it’s always a good idea to have a fire extinguisher handy when I’m ‘cooking’!
Really, if it doesn’t slide out of a can or fit into a microwave I’m in a world of, ‘Huh?’!
π
Very cool. We have an electric stove, which I’m guessing would not look as neat. I wouldn’t know though – I rarely use it. π
Grant Goodeve from Eight is Enough is in a commercial for a gas provider here in GA. Grant makes me swoon. This picture reminds me of Grant, so your picture makes me swoon. Thank you. π
About all I use the stove for is boiling water… and to tell you the truth, that’s a real challenge for me at times, Ms. D (a sad state of affairs, let me tell you)! π
Hahaha… well, I’m so happy to hear that! I do what I can, you know! π
Proof you are full of gas.
*burp*
Who, me?!
π
Set the bill on fire and send the ashes to to utility company. π
Excellent work, Sig! π xx
Hahaha… I wonder what they would say… sending in a cremated bill?!
Thank you very much, Deb!
π
Neat! Fire is always compelling. I’ve looked at one of those things for years and never thought of taking a picture of it.
Thanks so much, sir!
There is something almost mesmerizing about fire, isn’t there?! At least when it’s under control… had I been ‘cooking’ at the time this photo would have been a fairly horrifying sight!
π
Nice captured. Recently, many people use IH but I like a stove burner for cooking. π
Thank you very much, sir!
I wish there was a kitchen device that would help improve my cooking (I’m not very good at it, so it would require an incredible machine)!
π
Next time, toss a symbolic dollar bill onto the flame just before you snap the shot.
Hahaha… I should probably get the fire extinguisher ready to go first!
π
How worried should I be that I find this shot so relaxing??? The slivery blue tones and movement in the flame are so beautifully hypnotic . . ..
Thank you so much, Ms. K!
I have to admit I was kind of happy with the colors here. And that’s got to be a first for me (being happy with something I’ve produced in the kitchen)!
π
This is hypnotic…look into the flame, do not look away, you are getting sleepy, sleepy, now send us all your money. (Latest Utility Company ad campaign)
Hahaha… sounds about right, Peg!
Glancing at my pocketbook would probably confirm it looking about right, too!
π
I know what you mean about the utility bills
as they are getting extremely expensive, as
is everything else π¦ I guess the rich folks of
this world never even think about how much
a bill will be and so any kind of recession is
overlooked, mainly because of their wealth π¦
Politicians have no concept of struggling…
Your vision towards art is always refreshing
and this one is excellent my great friend π :)}
Have a superb weekend SIG π
Androgoth
True enough, A.G…
it doesn’t seem like there are many things that are getting less expensive these days! Oh well… such is life, I guess!
Many thanks to you for your great kindness as always, Andro! Hard to believe the weekend is almost over already… I hope it has treated you well my friend!
π
this shot is hot!
And this commenter is always very kind!
π
Hey…great photo…I like the sign in the last post…a whole lot!!! coolio!!! A good weekend is now in progress π
Thanks so much, Mary! Very much!
Happy to hear that! It sure flew by, didn’t it?!
π
Yeah… just can’t do that with an electric cooker…
I can ruin almost as much food in one, though.
π
Ooooooh, creepy! This is the stuff that movie ghosts are made of. And now I’m in the mood for an Ecto-Cooler.
HA!
Slimer Approved!
π
I couldn’t even guess, that it can look so intersting π
Thank you so much, Ms. B!
I was kind of happy with the colors… I hadn’t quite expected the variation.
π
Great capture Bob , I love it π
I’m very happy to hear that, Jake!
Thank you so much, sir!
π
Gosh, this is so creative. Great work!
Thank you so very much for your kind thoughts!
I sincerely appreciate your stopping by, M.M!
π
Hey my pleasure! I’m completely enamoured by those colours. Nature is awesome!
I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised by all the variation in color… I hadn’t really expected that!
Thank you again, M.M! Very much!
π
Wow! This is really awesome! Blue fire is magical! ^^
Thank you very much, Cristina! I was surprised by all the variations in color… that is my favorite part of this one, I think!
π
Cool shot! I just might have to try something similar…some day.
Thank you!
And absolutely! A simple set-up and lots of fun is difficult to beat, I think! I’d love to see your image(s)!
π
Excellent ! An illuminating perspective. π
Thank you very much, sir!
If only it would shed a little light on my cooking ‘skills’… or complete lack thereof!
π
Mmm warmth!
Is it summer yet?!
π
